The August 26th, 2008 meeting of the Appleton Board of Selectmen will begin at 6:00PM instead of 7:00PM

AGENDA: Discussion of Union Ambulance Service.

MOTOR VEHICLE FEE INCREASES AS OF SEPTEMBER 1ST.

P assenger Vehicles (6000 lbs) $25.00 will be $35.00

Title Applications $23.00 will be $33.00

Vanity Plate Fee $15.00 will be $25.00

All registrations processed after August 31 will be required to pay the new fees.

The Town of Appleton is seeking volunteers for

the following appointed positions:

Board of Appeals (3 years) – 3 positions vacant

Tri County Solid Waste Management Organization

Board of Directors (TCSWMO) (3 years)

2 directors positions and

1 alternate director position available

Appleton Conservation Commission

2 positions for 3 years

2 positions for 2 years

1 position for 1 year

This notice will be posted for two (2) weeks. After that time the Selectmen have the authority to solicit and appoint the above vacant positions.             Call 785-4722.
